Pruning & Trimming

Crown cleaning - our technicians will remove dying, dead, diseased, overcrowded or weakly attached branches from the crown of a tree, including the stumps from fallen branches.
Crown thinning - we will selectively remove living branches and new growth to maximize light penetration and air flow through the crown of the tree. This procedure reduces the weight on heavy branches, water intake, and helps preserve the tree's natural shape.
Crown raising - we will remove the lower branches from a tree which extends below the desired height in order to provide much needed clearance for structures, vehicles, pedestrians or for aesthetic reasons.
Crown reduction - our technicians will reduce the size of a tree crown to maintain its natural shape or usually for the clearance of utility lines.
Crown restoration - we will remove or trim down carefully chosen branches to restore an appropriate form to a tree, retaining the natural shape for the species
Formative pruning - we will typically perform this procedure on young or semi-mature trees. To improve the structural strength of young trees we will remove or reduce newly grown stems, competing leaders and crossing or weak branches.
Sanitation pruning - our technicians will only remove branches which are infected with fungi or disease.
Corrective pruning - our technicians will repair various damages caused by previous pruning work which has resulted in incorrect pruning cuts or stubs that have not healed through the growth of callus (wound wood).
